This post will talk about some of the mount parts and scopes that are used in air rifles. First of all, why does one need a scope for the rifle? A good scope delivers accurate shots, facilitates long range shooting, and ensures quicker recovery time. But it doesn’t end there!! A good scope needs a good quality scope mount. Even if you have spent a small fortune on you scope, it couldn’t perform with an inferior mount.

Points to remember before buying a scope:
1. Perfect fit: Your new scope mount should fit the rifle perfectly. If you don’t set it up correctly, you will shoot nowhere near the target!
2. Brand and Warranty: Look for scopes from a good manufacturer and also note down the warranty period.
3. Magnification: While higher power of magnification offers lesser field of view, less power scopes provide larger fields of view. Choose one as per your need.
4. Flexibility: Check for detailed adjustment options in your rifle scopes. You should be able to adjust windage, elevation, focus, and power settings suitably.
5. Right crosshair: A crosshair is a shape superimposed on an image to help you align your rifle precisely before a shot. You might need an illuminated reticle for low-light conditions.

What are rings and do u need them if u got mount. i was thinkin of buying super 9 on airsplat. they only do gun, rings and scope. they dont do the mount. will i need the rings and will the mount fit a nc star 4×32 scope.
plz message bk
Please give me sometime I will get back to the familiar person in mounting and reply you. Thanks for you patience.
The mount you have got might have a pair of rings fixed to hold riflescope. The rings are circular and fit the riflescope around. They should be compatible. That’s why it is advised that riflescope and rings should be bought together. There are 2-piece mounts with detachable rings. If your mount doesn’t have its own rings, you will have to buy rings separately to fit your riflescope.
