Shipping restrictions for
airguns, airsoft guns, blank guns & slingshotsIt's up to YOU to know the laws in your state, county and city and to fully comply with them. The following are examples of some state and local restrictions governing airguns and airsoft guns:
We do NOT and can NOT ship airguns or BB guns to Philadelphia, PA; Washington, DC; and New York City and its boroughs: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens and Staten Island. The NYC zip codes affected are: 100xx-104xx, 110xx, 112xx-114xx, 116xx.
Residents of Chicago, IL, cannot buy any airgun directly from us.
Residents of IL cannot buy from us airguns that exceed 700 fps.
Residents of New Jersey can buy BB guns through a designated local gun store after acquiring an Airgun Permit.
Cite from New Jersey law: "A 'firearm' means any handgun, rifle, shotgun, air gun, gas gun, machine gun, or 'any gun.'"
Residents of Michigan require a state firearms permit EXCEPT for smoothbore BB rifles .177 cal. and smaller, smoothbore BB pistols .177 cal. and smaller, and all airsoft guns.
A Michigan resident may purchase an airgun that requires a state firearms permit. Follow these steps:
1. Inform Sportsman's Depot of the item you want to purchase.
2. The item will be shipped to the designated dealer/retailer in your area. You must find a participating dealer/retailer and let us know where to ship your gun.
3. Go to your local police department and obtain a permit to purchase the airgun. Each airgun purchase must have a separate permit.
4. After the permit is issued to you by the police, take it to the gun store where your gun was shipped.
5. After the permit is presented to the store and their fee is paid, they will give you the airgun.
6. Take the airgun back to the police department for a safety check and ballistics test.
7. After the tests are conducted and they determine that the airgun is safe, you can take the airgun home.
Blank guns
Blank guns cannot be shipped to addresses in Chicago, IL; New York City, NY; and Virginia.
Slingshots
Slingshots, slingshot ammo and slingshot supplies cannot be shipped to the following states, counties or cities:
Delaware: Dover & Wilmington
Florida: St. Augustine
New Jersey
New York: Only wrist-braced slingshots are illegal.
Massachusetts
Minnesota: Duluth
Rhode Island
South Carolina: Charleston
Tennessee: Knoxville
Utah: Salt Lake County
Virginia: Falls Church
